Movies and Series About Heists

Ninjas, like you, are shocked by a series of high-profile heists in Paris. If such stories used to exist only on screens, in 2025 they’ve become part of reality.  

To mark the occasion, we’ve prepared a selection of films and series on a similar theme. Of course, “Lupin” had to make the list — it reflects what’s happening all too accurately.

Lupin 

A French series inspired by the stories of the gentleman thief Arsène Lupin. The main character, Assane Diop, uses his talent for disguise to uncover the secrets of his past and avenge his father.  

A mix of crime, drama, and thriller elements, combined with the atmosphere of modern Paris, makes this show especially relevant today.

Ocean’s Eleven  

A cult crime film about a group of professional con artists led by the charismatic Danny Ocean.  

Their goal — a daring heist of three Las Vegas casinos at once.  

A star-studded cast, fast-paced plot, and elegant style made this movie the gold standard of the genre.

Money Heist  

The Spanish series that became an international hit. The plot centers around the heist of the Royal Mint of Spain, masterminded by the mysterious Professor and his diverse team.  

Although the plan is flawless, human emotions and personal conflicts soon disrupt everything.

The Bank Job  

A film based on real events that took place in London in 1971. A group of criminals carries out a daring bank robbery that unexpectedly leads to a political scandal.  

Tense atmosphere, realistic storytelling, and Jason Statham in the lead role make this film truly memorable.

Army of Thieves  

An action-adventure prequel to “Army of the Dead.” The story follows Sebastian, a bank employee who runs a vlog about safecracking. His life changes when he’s drawn into a series of international heists.  

Light-hearted, funny, and fast-paced — a perfect combo for an evening watch with Ninja Sushi. 

Bandit

A crime drama based on the true story of a criminal who robbed dozens of banks across Canada. The charismatic main character and 1980s setting make the story especially vivid.  

Over his career, he committed 59 robberies, becoming a true legend of the underworld. 

The Town  

A thriller directed by and starring Ben Affleck. The story takes place in the criminal neighborhoods of Boston.  

It follows a bank robber who dreams of leaving the life of crime behind and starting anew.
