Ninja TV: “House of the Dragon”, Season 3

news

Today marks the long-awaited release of the third season of House of the Dragon — one of the most popular series of recent years and HBO’s flagship fantasy project after Game of Thrones.

The new season arrives almost two years after the Season 2 finale: the last episode of the previous season aired in August 2024, making the wait for a return to Westeros quite long for fans of the universe.

Season 3 continues the story of the civil war within House Targaryen. The conflict between the Blacks and the Greens has moved into an open phase, and the struggle for the Iron Throne is becoming increasingly large-scale and ruthless.

Why watch it?

House of the Dragon remains one of the most ambitious television series of our time. Political intrigue, family conflicts, spectacular battles, and of course dragons — all of this has made the show a true phenomenon among fantasy fans.

Season 3 promises events viewers have been waiting for since the end of Season 2. The creators have already hinted that this time the story will be significantly more dynamic, with higher stakes than ever for the main characters.

Who worked on the series?

The show is based on George R. R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. The series is showrun by Ryan Condal, who has been involved since its inception.

George R. R. Martin also continues to participate in the development of the franchise and has repeatedly called the Dance of the Dragons one of the most tragic and large-scale stories in all of Westeros.

Who is returning in Season 3?

In the new episodes, viewers will once again see Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II, and other key characters continuing their fight for power over the Seven Kingdoms.

How was the new season received?

Early critic reviews are generally very positive. The series is noted to be more dynamic, with a focus on major events and large-scale confrontations. Production quality, visuals, and character development are especially praised.
